What is Prenatal Massage?

A prenatal massage helps soothes expecting mothers during their pregnancy. It consists of light to moderate touch.

We massage women in their Second & Third Trimesters Only. We don’t want to risk too many toxins going to a fetus during the first trimester.

How does massage help you during pregnancy?

The goal is to increase circulation, reduce pain, and improve overall feelings of well-being. I like to think I’m giving an extra dose of motherly love during these sessions.

How does massage help me recover from having my baby?

Having a child is exhilarating, but very exhausting. Your body has spent up to 40 weeks creating and growing new life. The birthing process, whether natural or surgical, is not easy.

Massage can help you regain control of your body. The needed recovery time can be reduced significantly.

Can I bring my baby with me? What about an infant massage?

Yes, your precious newborn is welcome! You can upgrade your appointment to add on 30 minutes of infant massage. I’ll teach you how to soothe your child naturally.

How can massage help me if I am experiencing any post-partum discomfort or depression?

It begins with loving, safe touch. A post-partum massage allows you to feel grounded and secure. Massage improves brain circulation, releases mood-lifting hormones, and reduces stress.

Using similar techniques to trauma massage, you learn about muscular-emotional memory and how to release it. A post-partum session will enable you to start feeling in control of your body and life once more.

What should I expect during my massage?

Prenatal: You will undress to your comfort level. You will be draped at all times. You will be positioned in the most comfortable ways possible. In fact, you can reposition your body as many times as it takes to relax and enjoy the massage.

Post-Partum: You will undress to your comfort level. You will be draped at all times. Added efforts will be included to help you ground, balance, and release.

What should I expect after my massage?

Drink plenty of water. With prenatal, we try to limit how many toxins are released so that we don’t harm the baby. If you start feeling nauseous or get a headache, just drink a little more water. Your body might be trying to flush toxins.
